Dolphin retrieves a cheerleader’s phone from water
After a Miami Heat dancer’s iPhone dropped in the water, a well-trained dolphin retrieved it for her. The phone dropped into the water acc*identally. The Miami Heat dancer Teressa Cee was able to have a very unique and memorable experience. When the in*cident happened, she was on location in the Bahamas for a photo shoot. She was also very lucky because one of the dolphins in the area was ready to rescue it. The well trained dolphin brought the wet smartphone back to the surface for her.
The cheerleader wrote on a Facebook Post, ‘We were filming on this floating platform in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. So, against my better judgement, I asked someone to hold my phone for me and he accidentally dropped my phone into water and it sank to the bottom.’
Fortunately, the phone being dropped was seen by Cacique, a dolphin owned by the Underwater Explorer’s Society of Grand Bahama Island. The well trained dolphin immediately swam to the bottom of the lagoon and and retrieved the phone, coming to the surface with the iPhone in its mouth. With the beautiful cheerleader excitedly exclaiming, ‘Oh my god! That’s amazing! That’s so cute’ after the dolphin emerged from the water with the phone, the amazing incident was captured on video.
The video was uploaded to Facebook and Instagram and has been viewed over two million times. The video has been shared more than 20,000 times and liked by more than 46,000 people. Cee said the encounter was the ‘cutest thing ever’ even though the dancer’s iPhone was irreparably damaged in the incident.
